Boost circulation
Circulation refers to the flow of blood around the body. It may be prudent to boost circulation in some circumstances.
Poor circulation occurs when there is a reduction in blood flow in the veins and arteries, which in turn leads to a wide range of symptoms and a need to boost circulation.
Poor circulation can be caused by a number of factors including diabetes, obesity, smoking and poor diet. Circulation Extra will help boost circulation.
There are many symptoms of poor circulation where it is a good idea to boost circulation including:
- Numbness and tingling in the hands and feet, requiring you to boost curculation. The parts of the body furthest away from the heart – the hands and feet – are most vulnerable to the harmful effects of poor blood circulation.
- Swelling of the hands and feet, if you boost curculation this will improve. Poor blood circulation can lead to swollen hands and feet as blood pools in these areas of the body.
- Tiredness and lethargy will reduce if you boost curculation. Poor blood circulation results in a reduction of blood flow to the cells of the body, including the brain. This can lead to tiredness and fatigue as the cells do not receive sufficient amounts of oxygen and other nutrients.
- Development of ulcers reduces if you boost circulation. Poor blood circulation increases the risk of developing ulcers, particularly in the lower limbs. Ulcers form when cuts and wounds fail to heal correctly due to poor blood flow inhibiting the delivery of nutrients and oxygen to the affected areas.
- Frequent joint aches and pains are less if you boost circulation. The symptoms of back pain, sciatica and arthritis can all be intensified by poor blood circulation due to the reduced oxygen delivery and waste removal from cells.
How EMS can help boost circulation
Electro Magnetic Stimulation (EMS) has been proven to boost circulation in the blood, alleviating many of the symptoms associated with it.
EMS devices such as the Circulation Xtra use electrical impulses to stimulate muscles and nerves in the feet helping you to boost circulation,
in a similar way to natural therapies including reflexology and acupuncture which are used to boost circulation.
Regular use of EMS devices can increase blood flow and boost circulation, offering a number of health benefits including increased energy, lower stress levels, reduced back pain, sciatica and pain from arthritis, as well as improving immune function.
